The project consists of a full dockwall rehabilitation and associated civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical improvements at the Barge Terminal No. 2 facility on the Mississippi River. Work will begin with demolition and removal of the upper six feet of the existing dockwall, utilities, and fender systems, followed by installation of new sheet pile, walers, and tie-back anchors. Crews will construct new mooring structures including vertical and battered H-piles with reinforced concrete pile caps and mooring bitt foundations. Civil work includes excavation, grading, installation of new utility systems, and construction of a new concrete boat ramp with rip-rap erosion protection. Two sanitary lift stations, a barge wash-water supply and return system, and a new domestic water service will be installed to modernize site operations. Electrical improvements include new east and west 480-volt service panels, lighting, and power distribution to mechanical systems and site features.
