In our rental property, the height of the entrance going up to the second level was too low and did not meet code. This was a non-weight bearing wall, and contained no electrical. The existing door hearer was removed and raised four inches. The repair was painted after trim was replaced. I was not aware a permit was need for this work. The work is already completed. Mike Simmons a B & S Rental Housing Inspector, inspected the work. Noted it was now in compliance. He did indicate to me that a permit was needed. I am now applying for it. | Other
