Tear off the left elevation of the roof only. The existing roof deck is plank decking that has gaps of one inch and greater. We propose to resheath the left elevation only,, add new ice and water and underlayment and shingles, and leave the other 3 sides of the roof as is, with the decking on the left elevation being "solid sheathing" with 1/2 CDX plywood applied over the top of the existing roof deck on the left elevation, reshingled, and then new hip and ridge cap added to the north and south Hips on the left elevation and adhere them to the other sides of the "hip" on the front and rear
