Spoke with HO about the depth of the rods for the footing (Handi Piers). HO stated that he was on site when they installed the rods. HO indicated that rods were installed around 50" into the ground. HO doesn't have any concerns. Informed HO that Zach received an email from Handi Piers stating that the way the rods were installed are ok. Received email from Zach (contractor) - he received an email from Handi Piers - see attached. Basically, they way the rods were installed is ok with Handi Piers.

Spoke with Zach (contractor) informed him that I spoke with Ben Eggan (Building Official) and we both agree that if he only had to remove 1 or 2 of the spikes that we would be willing to work with him, but since he didn't install any of the spikes and we can't confirm the depth of the footings that he either needs to get approved documentation from the manufacturer on how the rods were installed, if not he needs to install the spikes.

Contractor installed Handi Piers without the spikes at the end. Tried to measure the depth of the rods and could only get to 34". Contractor stated that the rod will fill up with dirt if the spikes are not installed. Need written statement from Handi Piers that leaving the spikes off are OK. Contractor is reaching out to Handi Piers.
