* Met with Jake and Karrie about requirements for F/S dampers * If air handlers are shutdown for energy saving reasons, fire dasmpers must be fail/safe * All dampers have electric motor controls. Weekly testing of newly installed dampers will be scheduled

ALL FIRE DAMPERS ORDERED ARE STATIC, MEANING ALL FANS MUST BE SHUT DOWN UPON FIRE DETECTION DOUBLE SIDE ANGLE INSTALLATION WITH SPEED FRAMES PROVIDED BY MANUFACTURER END SWITCHES INDICATING DAMPER POSITION WILL NOT BE USED VIEWED DAMPER INSTALLATION ON 4TH FLOOR MECHANICAL ROOM

* Met with Josh, Jake, and Karrie * 2 hr fire-rated shaft at west side of mechanical room is oly open to 3 floors (1 hr required) * Ceiling in Electrical transformer room required to be 1 hr fire-rated. Karrie to demo & frame new ceiling for new dampers * Chase on east end of mechanical room is only open to the 2nd floor. Firestop holes at penthouse floor * The proposed new fire dampers are required on the east wall penetrating the mechanical room 1 hr fire-barrier

* Mechanical contractor scheduled a site visit to discuss existing non-compliant fire damper framing * Electrical room 246 has a 1 hour fire rating * 2 existing ceiling mounted fire dampers were never installed correctly * Horizontal Core board ceiling assembly will need to be re-framed per Ruskin framing instructions

* Met with Karrie (carpenter) and Jack (Tinner) 2 houir shaft wall framed in open area of existing CMU shaft wall * Fresh air needs F/S damper. Existing exhaust duct damper not in wall * Contact architect for direction on how to procede * All fire dampers will need framing inspection prior to covering
