contractor met for inspection. could not demonstrate water level detection device installed in unit located over suspended ceilings [307.2.3(4.) MMC] Additionally, contractor inquired about the other RTU serving the space. the serial number revealed a new unit Mfg. in 2024 and installed without a permit. the owner wanted contractor to have that unit inspected as well. i told him a separate permit would be required. unit appeared to be larger than 5 ton (require duct detector in a building equipped with a FACP.
