FIREPLACE AND VENTING CLEARANCES OK NO AIR TEST ON GAS PIPING

At time of building inspection for permit MI292904 reminded building contractor that crawlspace will need to be vented per R408.3 MN Res. Code. the plan is to add a supply and passive return (no direct returns allowed) SPF and rigid foam insulation will need to be protected from ignition -or- contractor will need to have an evaluation report (e.g. ICC ES Report) showing SPF is approved to be installed without the prescribed thermal or ignition barrier. GAS LINE TEST @ 25psi STILL REQUIRED prior to final

furnace not set. looked at Kitchen ex. through wall, (3) bath fans dryer. supply and return ductwork OK and sealed with mastic or ul listed tape. Correction: Need to add supply into crawlspace (no direct return allowed) [R408.3 MRC] Also Rigid foam covering ground in crawlspace and SPF exposed on wall needs to be protected [R316.5.4 MRC] Contractor had manometer on main gas line and manifold w/ lines to dryer and FP. not furnace or any other appliances. gas line test required. told contractor manometer not acceptable. needs 25# for 20 min
