SISTER ON TWO JOISTS FOR STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY. RELOCATE ONE JOIST TO ACCOMODATE PLUMBING. In basement of existing structure, sister a new 2x10 floor joist to south side of existing one that has a large notch cut out of it. Install new 2x10 floor joist to north side of existing floor joist to allow for the relocation of existing shower drain. Existing floor joist will then be removed.
