    1. still need to provide from the LVL manufacturer's requirements of lag bolt fastening for multiple members, simpson lags were called out in the MFG's installation instructions and the contractor used a different brand lag. the other corrections are made, engineering is provided for the added point load from the 2nd floor header/beam. It is approved to insulate floor and walls, Do not cover floor and wall insulation until we inspect the insulation and vapor barrier contractor said he is working on getting the lag information from the LVL manufacturer

    1. squash block on each side of the I-joists in the floor system where there are loads coming down from above. 2. have engineer give a correction for the substituted lags in the 4 ply header, fastenmaster was used, the engineer called out simpson fasteners. 3. the load from upper floor header ends at floor with no support in floor system for the load, have engineer provide a correction for that. Submit changes to office for approval before scheduling a reinspection. lateral braces match roof truss specs-none required per mfg. braces are in place per engineer on the roof trusses

    4 ply 18" LVL must be fastened with through bolts per the manufacturer's installation instructions (can see fix at next inspection). the beam is carried down to block on the outside garage wall to the foundation. the beam on the common wall/house side has been carried down to a wooden foundation where the 2x6 posts have been continued down within the wood foundation wall to the footing. A letter from the Engineer is required addressing the wooden foundation.
