Footing
Partial PassInspectorCraig Schultz
1. the partial footings at front of garage are poured before inspection, contractor has photos of the rebar before pouring with rebar in place-submit all these photos to our office. 2. the engineer called out on the 5 pier footings at the back of the garage to have 4 - #4 verticals in each footing, nothing about clearances or anything, contractor called engineer while I was there to clarify how to hold steel in place. The engineer said contractor can wet set the rebar and has to maintain a minimum 3 inch clearance to the outside of the sonotubes. I told contractor while engineer was on the phone and said we want additional follow up documentation from the engineer stating from his comments he approves the rebar can be wet set, in the pier footings. Contractor said he will get that and send in to us. The reinforcing steel is in place at the modified footings in back of the existing garage and that footing size is per approved plan. Footings are approved to pour per phone comments from the engineer.
