    InspectorChris Pequin

Footings still do not measure 24X30. The 24 inch measurement should start at the edge of the drain tile (hence why the engineers plans say it is to accommodate drain tile). The measurement should be 24 inches out from the drain tile and 30 inches the other way (parallel to the house). An additional fee may be charged if footings fail again on the next inspection. Do not pour concrete.

In addition to the previous poured footing correction from 1-20-26, a helical torque report was submitted and is compliant for the 3 new helical piers installed on the south edge of the addition.

    Footing

    Non-Compliant

    InspectorChris Pequin

Revised engineering received and states 24X30 footing to accommodate drain tile. The base of the footing does not measure 24X30. Base of footing is not at frost depth 42 inches. I would except the footing to be formed to keep it separate from the draintile (otherwise concrete will make draintile useless at that point). Do not pour concrete until reinspection.

    Correct and Proceed

    InspectorChris Andrejka

there are two concrete pier footings on the plan against the home that do not have a footing size called out. the footings are 20" down to the bottom of the walkout's strip footing. there is drain tile running through the center of the new footing holes. the engineer needs to add these footing sizes to the plans and address the drain tile through the footings. a workflow will be opened in projectdox for the updated engineered plans.
