REFERENCE PLUMBING PERMIT 24-030838-There must be a heat source for the water and sewer services in their entirety from the entrance into the structure and throughout the structure to prevent them from freezing. Heat trace is not adequate. Provide provisions to prevent plumbing piping from freezing. No water, soil, or waste pipe shall be installed or permitted outside of a building or in an exterior wall unless, where necessary and with prior approval from the area plumbing inspector, adequate provisions are made to protect such pipe from freezing.
