Residential Building Permit

Remodel the existing screen porch. The existing roof and overall footprint will remain unchanged. Work will include temporarily shoring the roof, removing the existing porch walls and floor structure, and installing continuous footings to support a new elevated concrete floor. New exterior walls will be framed and fitted with new windows and a patio door. Wall will include FG insulation and pine tongue-and-groove at walls & ceiling. The existing chimney along the adjacent wall will be removed (the wood-burning stove was previously eliminated). New composite stairs will be constructed at the exterior porch entrance. Electrical work will include new lights and outlets per the submitted plans. The existing house- to-porch patio door will remain. The remodeled porch will remain an unconditioned space.
