Deck Framing:
Existing Posts/Beams, footings, joists, and ledger remain the same
Additional framing for stair stringers, perimeter border/divider-board blocking, railing mount blocking, triple joists for pergola posts, and adding joist flashing tape
Decking: Existing cedar decking to be replaced with Timbertech/Azek Landmark Collection decking
Railing: Existing cedar railing to be replaced with Westbury Tuscany aluminum railing system
Pergola: Cedartone Treated Lumber structure will be secured to the house with 2x10 ledger with 6” Lag Screws and supported by two 6x6 surface mounted posts over the additional deck joists framing. 2x10 joists will be mechanically fastened to Ledger with hangers and extend over the double 2x10 beam mechanically fastened to the posts. The joists will carry 2x6 Rafters 16” OC, which will be capped with a 2x2 perpendicular canopy 4” OC.
